The Murphysboro Red Devils are once again looking for a new girls basketball coach. On May 19, Murphysboro Athletic Director Len Novara announced the hiring of Anna-Jonesboro girls basketball assistant and Murphysboro graduate Blake DeRocher as the next head coach of Murphysboro Girls Basketball. The former Red Devil has since put in his resignation for personal reasons.
Webster McGuire coached the Red Devils most recently, leading the girls basketball team to a 16-41 record over the past two seasons.
