Siren testing postponed in flood-stricken areas

UNION COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – Flooding has led officials to declare a state of emergency in Union County.

Siren testing, which routinely happens on the first Tuesday of the month, has been suspended there until further notice. Residents in the Wolf Lake and Ware areas are advised that in the event of a levee breach, the emergency sirens will sound for three solid minutes.
