OLMSTED, IL – A ribbon cutting will be held Thursday at the Olmsted Lock and Dam.
Currently the Army Corps of Engineer say the dam will fully operational in October.
The project has cost billions of dollars and the original 2013 competition date has been repeatedly pushed back.
Senators Dick Durbin and Mitch McConnell are expected to attend that ribbon cutting ceremony.
