A Johnson County man is recovering from the injuries he sustained in a single vehicle motorcycle crash.
According to state police, 48-year-old Aric Walquist was driving north on Route 45 about about 3 miles northwest of Metropolis Sunday afternoon when a deer ran into his path.
Walquist, unable to stop in time, hit the deer. He was taken to Massac Memorial Hospital before being flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville, Indiana.
