Williamson County law enforcement authorities are investigating a series of drive-by shootings that occurred during the early hours of Christmas Eve.
According to a social media post from the sheriff’s office, the incidents occurred in Marion, Herrin and Carbondale. Police believe the shootings were the work of the same person or persons.
The sheriff said he believes the incidents appear to be targeted acts and while the public should remain vigilant there is no cause for alarm.
