An alcohol related crash in Franklin County has resulted in multiple injuries

On Wednesday September 21st, Franklin County Deputies responded to a single vehicle crash on South County Line Road near Old Marion Road around 11pm. 

Deputies learned a truck driven by a 17 year old male was traveling eastbound, ran off the right side of the roadway and overturned several times before coming to a rest on its top.

The driver and front seat passenger, 51 year old Charles Foote of West Frankfort both fled the scene. 

Two Passengers, 43 year old Marocka Greenlee of Kankakee, and 21 year old Sydney Rich of West Frankfort were both ejected from the vehicle. They were taken to Carbondale Hospital with major injuries.

A fourth passenger, 20 year old Logan Brymer of West Frankfort was able to exit the vehicle after the crash and was taken to Herrin Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver was later located while seeking medical attention for minor injuries at Franklin Hospital. He was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, leaving the scene of an accident, and illegal possession of alcohol by a minor.
