CARBONDALE, Ill. (WJPF) – Rentable electric scooters are coming to Carbondale.
The city’s new micro-mobility program will begin on Friday. The 350 scooters will be located throughout the city and on the SIU Campus.
The Veo brand scooters are black with green trim. They cost $1 to unlock and then 31 cents per minute to ride. The transaction is done with a smart phone app.
The City of Carbondale will hold a public demonstration on Friday from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. at the Public Safety Center located at 501 S. Washington Street.
