A Jefferson County jury has found 28 year old Cody Rector of Mt. Vernon guilty of one count of Predatory Sexual Assault and 2 counts of Possession of Child Pornography, with the victim being under 13.
The verdict was a result of a Sheriff’s Office investigation in April of 2020, then prosecuted by the Jefferson County State’s Attorney’s Office.
He was taken into custody and transported to the Jefferson County Jail to await his sentencing hearing.
