CARBONDALE, Ill. — Due to Siena cancelling its participation in this weekend’s games against SIU and SIUE, SIU and SIUE will now play a three-game series against one another. The Cougars and Salukis will play a single game Friday at 6 p.m., followed by a doubleheader on Saturday beginning at 2:30 p.m. Previously, SIU and Siena were scheduled to play Thursday and Friday. There will now be no game Thursday at Itchy Jones Stadium.
The Salukis defeated the Cougars, 18-13 earlier this season at Itchy Jones Stadium.
