MASSAC COUNTY, Ill. (WJPF) — A Creal Springs man was hurt while while working on a construction project on Interstate 24 in Massac County.
Illinois State Police say at about 9:45 a.m. Thursday a tractor trailer slammed into the back of a work truck that was pulling an electronic sign board and crash attenuator.
The driver of the work truck, Phillip Castellano,61, of Creal Springs, was taken to an area hospital. The driver of the semi, Andrew Lovett, 27, of Benton, Kentucky, was not hurt. Any charges against Lovett are pending the outcome of an investigation.
