1,209 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Illinois Friday

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WJPF) — 1,209 new cases of COVID-19 were announced by the Illinois Department of Public Health on Friday.

The new cases include 53 additional deaths.

Statewide, there are now 8,904 of COVID-19, including 210 deaths in 64 counties.

The age of cases range from infant to over 100-years-old.

DeWitt, Effingham, and Jersey counties reported their first cases on Friday.
