Three Chester buildings added to National Register of Historic Places

RANDOLPH COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – Three Randolph County buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.

A release from the State Department of Natural Resources states that thirty sites across Illinois in total were added to the register over the course of last year.

All three Randolph County building are in Chester. They are the Old Fire Station, built in 1935; The Weinrich House, built in 1873; The Stone Cottage, built in 1859.
