CARBONDALE, IL. (WJPF) — Carbondale Police say a man tried to pick up high school students while they were waiting for the bus Thursday morning.
No one was hurt and police say there are not any immediate threats to any children at this time.
It happened around 7:30 AM between the 800 and 1000 blocks of West Cherry Street. The students reported that a white man, roughly 20-years-old, drove up and offered them a ride. They turned him down and he drove away.
The vehicle was described as an older brown SUV with a black rail down the side.
