Hendricks gets 20 years for bank robbery

MURPHYSBORO, IL. (WJPF) – The man accused of robbing a First Mid-Illinois Bank and Trust in Carbondale last month has been sentenced to twenty years in in prison.

36-year-old Darrell Hendricks, of Carbondale, pleaded guilty to one count of Financial Institution Robbery.

According to the Jackson County State’s Attorney’s Office, Hendricks held up the institution’s location inside the Carbondale Schnuck’s on October 29, 2018 by handing an employee a note demanding money.

Hendricks was arrested minutes after the robbery. The stolen cash was found in his possession.
