It has been one successful album after another for the Las Vegas band as they have now released their fourth studio album, Origins, this past weekend.

2008 saw the birth of Imagine Dragons as Dan Reynolds, the only member who has lasted since the bands’ conceptions, met the initial band members at Brigham Young University.  They quickly got to work and started releasing music that same year.

Fast forward to 2010 and the group released two EPs: Imagine Dragons and Hell and Silence.  Then in 2011, the group released their third EP, It’s Time, just in time for them to sing a major record deal with Interscope Records.

The band released their debut studio album, Night Visions, in 2012 and immediately saw success as the album peaked at number two on the Billboard 200 charts.  It also saw the highest first week sales for a rock album since 2006.

“Radioactive” was the most successful single from their debut album as it reached number one on multiple charts across the world, selling millions of copies, being nominated for two Grammy Awards (for Record of the Year and Best Rock Performance), winning for Best Rock Performance.

The band took a much-needed break before releasing their follow-up album, Smoke + Mirrors, in 2015 and then followed that with 2017’s Evolve.  Their 2017 effort proved to be just as successful as their debut album, thanks to singles like “Believer” and “Thunder”.

The band got back to work for new material and after releasing the songs “Natural” and “Zero” for ESPN College Football and Ralph Breaks the Internet, announced their fourth studio album, Origins, would be released on November 9th of 2018.
