WOLF LAKE, IL. (WJPF) — Multiple police departments are investigating a dead body found in Union County.
The body of a male was found around 11:20am Sunday at 7625 Route 3 North. The death is considered to be suspicious. The identity of the body is not being released pending family notification.
An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon.
The investigation is being handled by state police, the Union and Jackson County Sheriff’s Office’s, Carbondale Police, The SIU Police Department, and The Secretary of State Police.
