Virginia man convicted for Illinois robbery

WASHINGTON COUNTY, IL. (WJPF) – A Virginia man will spend the next nine years behind bars for robbing a Nashville, Illinois gas station.

Federal prosecutors say 19-year-old Jordan Macbeth pointed a loaded gun at the store clerk during the January 2018 robbery. Macbeth was later caught, charged, and pleaded guilty to a two count federal indictment.

In addition to the prison time, Macbeth must also pay the gas station $461.79 in restitution.
