IDPH receives donation for the treatment of synthetic cannabinoids

The Illinois Department of Public Health has received a huge donation for treatment of synthetic cannabinoid problems.

150 people in Illinois have gotten sick from synthetic cannabinoids laced with rat poison, including three who died.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals is donating nearly 800 thousand tables of Vitamin K, which is used to treat the severe bleeding caused by synthetic cannabinoids laced with rat poison.

The treatment will be free but can be rigorous as patients may have to take up to 30 tablets of Vitamin K a day for as long as six months.
