A US Army Combat Veteran, who made his home in Illinois has been deported.

Miguel Perez, Jr., was brought to the U-S illegally when he was eight years old. He’s 39 now, an Army vet whose mother, Esperanza, says he returned from combat with a diagnosis of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. (We were looking for help, but nobody helped.) Perez self-medicated, was arrested on a drug charge and did eight years in prison. His attorney is Chris Bergin: (You come back damaged from a war and you get no breaks; you get no mercy.) Now, Perez has been deported to Mexico, where he hasn’t lived in three decades.
