Closing arguments of Bethune-Varughese begin today

Closing arguments of the Bethune-Varughese murder trial begin today. Yesterday Bethune gave his testimony, admitting to lying to police for fear of a DUI. He also said that Varughese became angry after a dispute about directions which became a physical altercation and pulling over on route 13. He also admitted to lying to his cousin about the orgin of the dispute. Illinois State policeman Christopher Martin, who arrived at the scene that night was also questioned yesterday about the events.
