Congrats to the South Korean boy band, BTS, otherwise known as the Bangtan Boys!
Their new album, “Love Yourself: Tear”, dropped on May 18. As of May 24, 135,000 units have been sold, and the album has hit the #1 spot on Billboard magazine’s Top 200 album chart.
So the Bangtan boys will go down in music history as the “first primarily foreign language album to top the charts since Il Divo’s “Ancora” in 2006” and the first K-Pop group to grab the number one spot, according to Billboard magazine. Just announced today, their song “Fake Love” hit the top 10 of the Hot 100 chart. Another first for K-Pop!

This is such a big deal that even the South Korean president Moon Jae-in congratulated them.
Definitely making the BTS “army” proud.
