A Steeleville woman is dead, the result of a single vehicle crash in Jackson County.
According to press release from the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, 26-year-old Ambyr Wallace was driving north on US 51 Thursday, approaching the Truax Blacktop, when shot lost control of her car, left the roadway, and overturned.
Wallace was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Her brother, Aramis Wallace, also 26, was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
