One person was killed in a single vehicle crash near Elkville.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the scene on Royalton Road near Funk Road just after 8:30 AM Saturday.
A preliminary crash investigation indicated that the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve, left the road, and hit a tree. The driver, police say, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver’s name is being withheld pending family notification.
