Harrisburg Man Sentenced To 30 Years

Harrisburg, Ill. – A man from Harrisburg has been sentenced to 30 years behind bars for sexually assaulting a child.

42-year-old Eric Nichols pleaded guilty earlier this week on two counts of sexually assaulting a child. He was charged in January after an investigation by Illinois State Police.

Nichols is also required to register as a sex offender and will serve three years of mandatory supervised release after prison.
